What Makes Me, Who I Am?
A person's personality is what makes it different from others. Rest is all the same, the same human body; where some souls are blessed with amazing beauty, and some are not. But still, what makes them different apart from that is: one's own personality.
It is a combination of various factors, the ambience around you, the people around you, your education and your inner instinct. What defines me is the 'never to quit' attitude which makes me going in the weirdest of situations, where a fighter normally would like to quit! That defines me...
No doubt, the credit goes to the circumstances, those situations, the people who were part of it and I would like to thank them all, because in every way they have blessed me with new experiences that changed my thinking, my attitude towards life and made me a much better human being than before.
There are times when I abhor this materialistic world that makes me wonder why I am a part of this. But the moment I see tremendous personalities, doing their work (karmas) selflessly...also helping the poor and destitute at the same time, encourages me for my life's mission that needs to be taken care of. It makes me grounded and makes me believe there is still lot to be achieved!
Now, when life introduces me with more new difficulties, I simply try to remain unaffected by them as I believe thy shall pass..
Someone has truly said," Don’t run after Success, but make yourself that good, that success itself runs after you!"
..Coz believe it or not, success definitely is the sexiest thing in the world! ;)

Trip To Mumbai
Bingo! I heard the news when i was leisurely trying to pass my time at home, an every day routine, of us going to mumbai!! I thanked my fathers boss who has kept this untimely meeting for him, on time for me while i was holidaying at home, in "mumbai".
Mumbai, where i had spent my 10 years, it felt so nice to relive those moments again. To be with the sea again. Aah! the sight at Marine Drive drives me crazy.. a point where the sea meets the sky and the lover's too! And more importantly, to meet my best friend again, to roam with her in the causeway road buying all unnecessary stuff.. made me feel like a kid again, though i still act like a kid, but it felt good to mention it again ;)
It was like God was finally noticing me, looking after me, though it had been a too late but still i won't mind! I got inside the train and lo! we are in the first class, not that i haven't been there earlier but it felt great to be there again. The cabin attracted me with its finest features. The carpet on the floor, well placed lamps, two each for the lower seat, the window where you can sit back and relax and watch the world go by. It reminded me of the king-sized train we see in harry potter films.
As i got seated on my upper birth, i saw a young guy coming into our cabin. I crossed my fingers and was delighted to see him as the owner of the latter upper birth! We crossed glances. Okay.. he was handsome! His oval face has got attractive features. A pointed nose, luscious lips, blue eyes, dark hair and flashy clothes! He looked decent enough to talk to. I was trying hard to look busy so as to grab his attention and when nothing happened for few minutes continued to concentrate on spider solitaire. After exact 3 hours, at 11 p.m. he looked at me and waved at me. I ignored him, as a tool to grab some more attention. He then came closer , "my trick was working" i thought and looked back at him. He came closer to me, my ears specifically when i heard him say,"Excuse me! can i switch off the lights."
It was 4 past midnight when i realized something moving in the cabin. I was about to scream when i figured out it was the same guy who has said me those disgusting words before sleeping! Anyways i looked back at him. He was looking for something, i figured out. Something beneath the lower birth,
Few hours later i saw my father reading the newspaper, and then i looked out of the window. I hold my breath for a moment and said,"Okay, so we have arrived there. My dreamland!" ;)
We then took our luggage and headed our ways to the guest house! While we were passing through the hottest spot of mumbai, the marine drive, all of us, except the driver were looking continuously outside the car window. It was a great sight. Marine Drive offers the best causeway to take a refreshing saunter next to the sparkling waters of the Arabian Sea. The cool breeze would caress you with its gentle touch, making you feel at cloud nine. At nights, Marine Drive looks stunning illuminated, with lights and if seen from some elevated point beside the road, it appears like a necklace with street lights resembling a string of pearls. Hence, is also referred as Queen's Necklace. Chowpatty Beach, famous for its local fast-food, lies at the northern end of this road.
As soon as we reached our guest house, i straight away went to the phone section and dialled the number. A feminine voice came from the other side,"Hello, Whose this?"
Whithin no time, i figured out it was my best firend's mother. I then said,"Namaste Aunty, vinita this side. Is Aanchal there?"
The lady has always disliked me for some anonymous reason as if i will steal their daughter from them, since she being their only child. Possesiveness is really a disease, i tell you!
She said,"Oh vinita! hows you. So nice of you to call us after so long!"
"yeah, you must be happy though, with me calling you after SO LONG." I thought. She then popped up with as many questions as she can to delay her only daughter's talk with me, i guess. "hows you. where are you staying. are your parents with you. why have you come to mumbai after so long. why this-why that" UFF! i was tired answering all this when i thought of reminding her again the main reason of calling her! Their daughter. "Aunty, sorry to interrupt but shall i talk to aanchal, now?" :)
She said,"oh aanchal! beta, she is sleeping right now. I will let her know you called. She will call you back. bye" And before i could say my 'bye' i heard the phone saying 'tu.... tu...' It has already been kept, in simple words!
3 hours had passed and yet no clue of phone ringing. Finally after 3 hours 15 minutes, it rang! I picked it up and realized it was Mr. Puneet who was asking for my father. I left the phone and started getting ready for the day. A day which i had thought will be eventful with me and aanchal roaming in the streets of mumbai, having pani poori and buying cool trendy stuff from causeway. Well, i then forced myself to go with my mother to the crophet market buying crockeries from there, went to SBI bank and then to badkwar park! The railways colony where i had spent almost 10 years of my life. We went to Kaswan aunty, my mother's best friend. I was satisfied, atleast someone got to see her best friend today.
We then had lunch there, guess what, i had pao bhaji! It was yummy and by the time i got dahi-bhale followed by suji ka halwa, the sadness of not meeting her was all gone! I then decided to live the day for me, myself and head off to the causeway road! Causeway road is a must see place in mumbai. If you have one day to spend in mumbai, apart from marine drive and gate way of india.. causeway is the best to spend your time. The variety of goods you get there at such cheap rates is amazing! Not only indians, but the foreigners are also a fan of this place and you'll see plenty of them roaming in the causeway streets buying cool, trendy stuff from there. Its a sight you will never see anywhere else. People from different countries like africa, norway, newzealand, u.s., are seen talking to indians, negotiating with us buying our stuff there! ;) I enjoyed shopping there and bought some significant stuff for me and my friends, not to mention, at very cheap rates! Inspite of the cool weather & rain, i enjoyed the warmth of the people there. Very well said, its not the place but the people who makes it worth living!
The day had passed and we again boarded to the train, same first class, same upper birth and as i was about to sleep, i saw some humanly figure coming inside the same cabin. It was a 'HE' who was handsome, cool, smart, young and nice to talk to & then luckily we crossed our glances. . . :-D !!

Rainy Day
I had come back to delhi after 6 long months.. and enjoyed being here again. I arrived here at 7.30 am. The people at the station looked the same, having tea by dipping biscuits in them, coolies carrying luggage, some reading newspapers while some sitting idle. Everything was the same except one and the most amazing thing. The weather!
Yes! I am talking about delhi which is hot and humid most of the year, and had broke the record for being the hottest zone in the country. But it has changed, cool breeze was going on, birds were chirruping, trees were enjoying the breeze as if showing their happiness. Couldn't believe it no? My eyes too until a drop fell on my palm and i welcomed it, the rain..
By the time i had manage an autorickshaw, I was fully drenched with the rain water but i was happy, happy since it was the first rain i was enjoying and uh-ya keeping in view the ecomonic measures too, i hadn't took bath in two days, today being the third one! Its just coz i work hard daily for my projects so might have skipped it, really i do work, hard! :-}
It was 5 in the evening when i got a call, call from a friend to visit the gurgao malls as 50% off was there! A sale of lifetime, i had to go and i made my mind! I reached the Qutab metro station when it started raining, this time it was raining heavily but thankfully i had a shelter. While i was waiting for the arrival, i had a quick glance at the station. The structure was majestic with appropriate pillars in between. It was huge and the grass at the entrance did not seem less than a public park! In just two words, it was too good!
I heard some group of people clapping while i was passing my time with 98.3 FM, the metro had arrived! Then i again looked back at those people, it was a group of some school students not more than 9 years of age. I smiled. Just as the train got away from Qutab, we heard sounds of the rain droplets growing more vivid. Then looked out of the window, it was refreshing, spirited, bright & intense.. the nature! The sky was immensely blue. White silvery clouds were gliding almost imperceptibly against it. And as i was reaching towards my destination, Gurgao, the sight of tall buildings surrounded by super tall buildings could be seen. And the rain, which started off with tiny white droplets had grown into mast droplets was making the scene even more beautified and look dignified! I had almost forgot about the sale for which i was going to gurgoa. I then decided to pay gratitude to nature inspite of spending time on materialism. Me and my friend then sat on a table in front of a chai ki dukan and enjoyed the chuski of tea along with the rain, of course!!
It was lovable, isn't it?

Myself
Hi friends!
Till now, I used to just hear about these blogs, celebrities writing on their blogs, where people even having the time to see them, read them &.. (mention not, follow them too!) :P
So I came to a page on google "create blogs for free"... create blogs did not attract me that much but the fact that its for free! :-} So, here I am.
Okay, in my first post, i would like to tell you about me. Who am i? Myself Vinita. I just completed my B.tech from Thapar University, Patiala, Punjab. I was a biotechnology student there.
Though i was pursuing engineering, i always felt there is something more which i can add to my life, which should be everyone's purpose, to add values to their own lives! I then moved on to Journalism, which i believe is the first step to head towards my dream! I feel journalists can add a lot to the society by bringing truth to them!
And above all i believe, living for your dreams and making them come true is what brings happiness to your heart!
So, if you feel there is even a little bit possibility of living your dream, don't think twice and take the risk! Because even if you dont make up to it, you will eventually come to know that it wasn't the right move to achieve THE Dream, but one of the moves by which you wont achieve it! :P
Also, Life is lived just once and is too short a journey. So when you get old or will be in the last phases of your life; instead of saying 'what if' you'll know that you did try.. ;)
Life should be lived the way that when you leave you can write a whole book on it!
Vinita K.
